Features:

Material:

A - The soft segment is made of high purity Glycerol methacrylate 58% water content

B - The rigid segment is made of silicon acrylate gas permeable material with high DK value.

This complex lens insures:

Superior water retention and fitting stability.

Resilient to surface depositing and protein build up.

Good oxygen permeability.

Light blue tint for both segments ensures easy handling.

Lens design:

A - Soft segment

Base curve rad. (BOZR) : 7.8, 8.0, 8.2 mm.

Total Diameter : 13.5, 14.0 mm.

Double cut back surface and special designed front surface to provide excellent embedding for the R.G.P lens.

B - Rigid segment

Base curve rad. (BOZR) : 6.8 8.4 steps 0.1 mm.

Total Diameter : 8.2 mm.

Bi- curved posterior surface.

Lens front surface is lenticulated to minimize mass.

Special edge design to ensure good stability over the soft segment.

Who should wear it:

Patients suffering from high degree of keratoconus and corneal irregular astigmatism.

Post keratoplasty, post corneal trauma and post refractive surgery.

Corneal degeneration and wide range of corneal anomalies.

How to order:

Ophthalmologists desiring to practice H.W Pb lens need: irregular astigmatism.

  • H.W soft trial set (3 lenses).
  • H.W Pb rigid trial set (no. of lenses requested).

The fitting starts by choosing the suitable BOZR of the soft segment.

Carrying out Keratometry over the anterior surface of the soft lens.

Then start with selecting a hard lens with BOZR equal to flat K.

Adjust the BOZR till an appropriate lens to lens fitting is established.

An over refraction is performed to determine the final power of the required RGP lens.
